Cristianne Marques Ortiz

Cristianne grew up in beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she graduated with a five year Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Design degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1997. She started working in architecture, while still in school, in 1993.

Upon graduating from architecture school, Cristianne moved to the United States where she has been living and working ever since.

She is currently licensed to practice architecture in the states of New York and Connecticut, as well as in Brazil, and is also a certified architect by the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB).

Prior to starting her own practice, Cristianne worked for many architecture firms, overseas and in the New York area, including Award Winning firms for excellence in design and historic restoration. Her experience ranges from working with different design and construction techniques in Brazil to high-end residential, various architecture styles, commercial and religious buildings. As a Project Manager she was responsible and coordinated many High Performance, Net-Zero and Passive House design projects some of which received awards from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Connecticut Green Building Council (CTGBC) and an International Award from Construction 21.

As a principal architect at Fractal Architects, she is directly involved in every project and committed to making the client-architect and project team relationship the best it can be.
